My parents graduated from CKM in 1948. Then all my 5 siblings and myself graduated. My mother was the baton Majorette for the Marching Band at football games. For a span of 12 years my siblings and myself were going to McClatchy. My 3 sisters were cheerleaders. My eldest sibling Judith did not play an instrument in the Marching Band as did my 4 other siblings and myself. She only was very popular as a cheerleader at football games. She only played (self taught) the Hammond organ at home. I played 1st trumpet in Marching Band and Jazz Band.. Annette played clarinet in Marching Band. Mike played trombone in Marching Band and Jazz Band. Mary played flute and bells in Marching Band. Pat, my youngest sibling played drums in Marching Band and Jazz Band. I have continued my trumpet playing to this day since 1968 playing professionally over the years around the Sacramento scene in the Big Bands, Latin Groups and solo concerts for military events with the VFW and also many military funerals, all of these solo work.
