Age 50. Preceded in death by his parents Richard E. Burns and Imogene C. Burns, he is survived by his brothers Joseph Kemp and Stuart Burns, sister-in-law Sophia Burns, nieces Janelle Kemp, Jordan, Kristin, and Sydney Burns, and a host of relatives. Richard graduated from C.K. McClatchy High School in 1974 and attended Long Beach State University. Those who knew Richard knew that he had a zest for life that truly blessed the many friends and relationships he entered. Friends and family are invited to the visitation on Saturday, August 12, from 12:00-4:00 PM at Morgan Jones Funeral Home, 4200 Broadway, and may attend his service on Monday, Aug. 14, at 11:00 AM at Shiloh Baptist Church, 3565 9th Ave. Interment, South East Lawn Cemetery.
